3.75 Stars - Paper Towns by John Green
After reading Fault in Our Stars last year I knew I wanted to read more John Green. FIOS made me bawl like a baby and I even liked the movie adaptation. Paper Towns is also slated to become a movie which is what spurred me to pick this as my next John Green book to read.
Paper Towns was a much different book. More mystery than romance and while it still had the pull of FIOS it brought about a need to find out what happened to Margo. Of course in this day and age you always suspect the worse but as the book drew on you found that she was only interested in what more the world had to offer. A lesson we could probably all use. I'm excited to see who they'll cast in these roles and I'm sure I'll see it in the theater. Below is a quick synopsis from Amazon that doesn't really give a picture of the book but I promise it's good! Food isn't mentioned much other than the junk the kids eat on the way to find Margo, so I pulled from the first night she took Q out. Enjoy!
When Margo Roth Spiegelman beckons Quentin Jacobsen in the middle of the night—dressed like a ninja and plotting an ingenious campaign of revenge—he follows her. Margo’s always planned extravagantly, and, until now, she’s always planned solo. After a lifetime of loving Margo from afar, things are finally looking up for Q . . . until day breaks and she has vanished. Always an enigma, Margo has now become a mystery. But there are clues. And they’re for Q.
