3.75 Stars - Landline by Rainbow Rowell
I had heard such great things about this book (Goodreads 2014 of the year list) and after loving Rowell's Eleanor & Park I decided to try this one out as well. E&P is more of YA fiction whereas Landline is adult fiction. I have to say after a bit of slow start I got drawn into the book and read it in about 2 days.
The story is a little far-fetched with the magical landline phone - but hey who of us actually has a landline around anymore? You never know what it could be capable of... A really nice read and one that I think would be great for book club. As far as the menu- it was a little difficult considering how much Georgie barely eats but I managed to find a few food items in the book. Enjoy!
Amazon: Georgie McCool knows her marriage is in trouble. That it’s been in trouble for a long time. She still loves her husband, Neal, and Neal still loves her, deeply—but that almost seems beside the point now.Maybe that was always beside the point.
