June 7, 2019 - Greensboro, NC
After spending a weekend in March looking at 20+ houses, narrowing it down to our top 3 to see again, and then finally making an offer. I'm glad we finally got here and the house is now ours. One of the big deciding factors (outside of proximity to campus) was whether or not there were jogging trails. I know that might not be important to some people, but everywhere I've lived since I started running has had easy access to trails. I just couldn't see giving that up now, especially with the twins.
So we chose a place in SW Greensboro that has a network of about 5miles worth of trails. I can drive to the nearby longer trail or take sidewalks along the busier roads to get in my longer runs. Super excited about this.
The process however to actually buy a house is intense, stressful, and something I don't want to go again for awhile. From the inspection appointments to repairs, and all the documentation that the mortgage company needs... IT WAS AWFUL. We were rushing around at the last minute but thankfully got everything completed in time to close.
And now we are the proud owners of a 4bed, 2.5bath house in the suburbs of Greensboro. Come visit!
