21 Day Fix Extreme: LOVE
I'm always a skeptic so to hear that if I followed a meal plan and did a daily workout for 21 days, then I'd lose weight... well I wasn't sure much would happen. I hadn't had a lot of luck this fall when I tried out Beachbody's PiYo program but thought I'd give this a try. Like a weirdo I enjoy schedules and planning so to have it outlined for me to follow was an easy no-brainer.
For 21 days I got up each morning, did my 30 minute workout of the day and then spent the rest of the day eating. Seriously. I ate probably every 3 hours with snacks and meals. They outline how many servings you're supposed to have based on wanted weight loss, currently activity levels, etc. Then you get cute little colored containers to portion out your meals. Yes, I know that sounds like a pain but after you get it planned out, it's really easy to follow.
I ended up following it to a T, with no cheats or deviations (other than fitting in my runs for half marathon training) and finished the 21 days down 9lbs and 15 inches. Awesome.
Can't wait to do another round of this after our upcoming race (this coming Sunday!!). Definitely the first program I've found that really works and doesn't starve you to death.
Highly recommend to anyone trying to alter their eating habits as well as drop a little weight!
