Burial Rites by Hannah Kent - 3.5 stars
Really enjoyed the writing of this book. The story had its slow moments but overall a decent read. And something completely different for book club. I learned a lot about Icelandic history regarding the death penalty. Very interesting stuff.
Food on the other hand- a little hard to come by. But hopefully this menu will work! Here's what Amazon mentions about the book.
Set against Iceland's stark landscape, Hannah Kent brings to vivid life the story of Agnes, who, charged with the brutal murder of her former master, is sent to an isolated farm to await execution.
